## Description

You will work within the Containerization & Virtualization (C&V) team of KPN's Private Cloud department. This team builds, manages, and develops Red Hat OpenShift platforms in KPN data centers.

You will join the container platform team, a team of eight to ten colleagues. They continuously work on improving the platform, focusing on availability, quality, standardization, security, and innovation. Automation is key: everything that can be automated is automated.

As an OpenShift / Kubernetes Engineer, you will contribute to the further development of the OpenShift container platform. You will not only focus on daily management but also identify areas for improvement, implement new functionality, and set up new platforms.

Your tasks will include:

- Building, expanding, and improving OpenShift clusters in various projects

- Implementing new functionality and new platforms within the OpenShift stack, including related applications

- Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting complex platform environments

- Automating as much as possible using GitOps, Argo CD, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code

- Contributing to the reliability of the platform and structurally solving problems

- Documenting knowledge and actively sharing it with colleagues

You will switch between engineering, management, and project work. You work independently but always as part of the team.

The ideal candidate has:

- Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Kubernetes

- Experience with GitOps and Argo CD

- Experience with Ansible and Infrastructure as Code

- Experience with building, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting complex platform environments

- The ability to analyze complex technical issues independently and seek structural improvements

- A preference for automation over manual work

- Team-oriented: sharing knowledge, being critical, and staying pragmatic
