As a Software Engineer on our Control Plane - Hosted team, you will be responsible for technical design and work in key functional areas of Elastic’s Cloud offerings.

Responsibilities:

- Guide cross-team technical designs and help create a team-wide high level architecture

- Lead best practices for development, ensuring a reliable, scalable foundation and an engaging user experience for our customers

- Contribute and lead technical plans and direction within our team and across other product teams in Elastic

- Be part of a distributed team of engineers from all across the globe

- Collaborate with other teams within Elastic

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a track record of delivering high-quality code

- Previous experience providing pragmatic technical leadership for a group of engineers

- Knowledge of back-end languages such as Scala, Java or Go

- Technical depth in one or more technologies relevant for SaaS (orchestration, networking, containers, etc.)

- Passion for automation and quality

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is $133,200-$159,800 USD.
