## Description

Join Neo Financial to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. We're looking for experienced Mortgage Underwriters to review documentation and underwrite deals from across the country.

Responsibilities:

- Underwrite complex and high-value mortgage loan applications

- Deliver mortgages from application to funding with the support of your Mortgage Funding Officer (MFO)

- Communicate with Sales teams, mortgage brokers, and internal/external partners to ensure understanding of the mortgage process

- Liaise with Sales teams, MFOs, Coordinators, and third-party brokers on status updates for active mortgage files

- Utilize problem-solving skills to make prudent decisions on complex mortgage files

- Develop subject matter expertise in product functionality and features

- Remain current on industry trends

Requirements:

- Minimum 2+ years of underwriting experience in the Canadian mortgage industry

- Passion for growth and excellence

- Superior communication skills

- Highly organized with exceptional time management capabilities

Additional Role Details:

- Hybrid role, based in Halifax, requiring 3 days per week on-site
