## Description

We are seeking a Lead Cook to join our team at Hotel Ibis Styles Medellín. As a leading global hospitality group, Accor operates a wide range of brands across various segments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and composing menus, supervising the kitchen, ensuring quality and compliance with standards, managing inventory, controlling stock, and instructing staff to maintain organisation and efficiency in operations.

Qualifications:

- Food Handling Course (minimum 10 hours) - compulsory

- National and international cooking courses - optional

- Mastery of basic and advanced cooking techniques, including cooking methods, food handling, and presentation

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, including practices for safe storage and proper food handling

- Inventory management skills, stock control, and storage practices to ensure ingredient quality and freshness

- Ability to work within established budgets, minimise waste, and optimise resources

- Knowledge of menu adaptation and preparation of themed or seasonal dishes according to chain requirements

- Teamwork skills, ability to coordinate and collaborate with kitchen staff, assistants, waiters, and other hotel departments

- Organisation and Time Management: competence to organise multiple tasks simultaneously and meet service times without compromising dish quality

- Adaptability and Flexibility: ability to adjust to changes in the menu, special events, customer preferences, and unexpected situations in the kitchen
