## Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced International Accounting Lead to join our finance team at Stripe. As a key part of our controllership team in Dublin, you will help build technical accounting and financial reporting processes, work with business partners, financial partners, external stakeholders, and engineers.

## Responsibilities

### Financial Operations & Reporting

- Lead the end-to-end monthly close of US GAAP books, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.

- Oversee preparation and submission of comprehensive regulatory and financial reporting.

- Lead financial statement preparation, audit support, and technical documentation for statutory audits.

- Monitor and adapt to changes in global accounting and tax regulations to ensure compliance.

- Support preparation of direct and indirect tax returns.

### Leadership & Strategic Collaboration

- Mentor, guide, and manage the professional progression of a high-performing controllership team.

- Collaborate with Tax, Transfer Pricing, Treasury, Finance and Strategy, and Legal teams on strategic projects.

- Develop a deep understanding of the Company's transactions and contracts to advise cross-functional teams.

- Oversee and optimize relationships with finance outsourcing vendors and auditors.

### Technical Accounting & Innovation

- Maintain fluency in US GAAP and IFRS/FRS102, researching complex issues and producing clear technical accounting memos.

- Evaluate, recommend, and implement AI solutions to drive process improvements.

## Requirements

- Professional certification: Active ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.

- 10+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience; Big 4, payments, financial services, or tech industry experience highly preferred.

- Demonstrated technical expertise and practical application of IFRS, FRS 102, and US GAAP.

- Proven experience managing large-scale statutory audits and overseeing tax filings.

- Strong proficiency with enterprise accounting systems (Oracle or similar) highly preferred.

- Demonstrated success in leading and delivering cross-functional initiatives.

- Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.

- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to partner and communicate effectively across diverse internal teams.
