## Description

We are seeking a Senior Engineer - Electrical with 8-12 years of experience in basic and detailed engineering design of Electrical works on combined cycle projects and substation projects.

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of Electrical Systems and Physical design, principles, and practices of related technical areas, and experience coordinating with other technical disciplines.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct technical reviews of electrical equipment sizing, specifications, and vendor documents

- Review SLDs, protection & metering diagrams, switchgear scheme drawings, and logic diagrams

- Analyze electrical layouts, including raceways, lighting, grounding & lightning protection, and Switchyard layouts

- Perform electrical system studies using ETAP software

- Participate in client and contractor meetings as needed

- Stay updated on technological advances and industry best practices

Mandatory skills:

- Knowledge of international codes & standards, particularly in the Middle East Markets

- Experience in selecting electrical equipment

- Interdisciplinary knowledge to coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, Civil, and Commissioning teams

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated leadership abilities

- Ability to plan, develop, schedule, and coordinate review engineering work within the discipline

Desired skills:

- Experience in advisory roles for Power plants & Substations, especially in the Middle East Region

- Knowledge of IPP contracts

- Familiarity with IEC codes and practices in the Middle East region

Qualifications:

- Recognized degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university

- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in Owner/detailed engineering, preferably in an engineering consultancy firm for power or substation projects
