## Description

Markit North America, Inc. seeks an Engineer II, Software Development in Raleigh, NC to design, develop, and enhance database/back-end components supporting an internal technology platform and related data feeds.

Responsibilities:

- Create and modify SQL stored procedures, tables, constraints, and scheduled jobs.

- Build and update ETL workflows.

- Test changes to ensure accurate and reliable data storage and retrieval.

- Optimize and troubleshoot data processing and performance.

- Implement corrective actions to maintain high-volume dataflows.

- Monitor and resolve production/support issues.

- Build and maintain cloud-based data pipelines.

- Migrate database objects and processing logic to cloud data services.

- Perform peer code reviews and prepare production deployments/releases.

- Ensure compliance with security best practices.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related IT field.

- Two years of experience in software development or a related occupation.

- Experience with SQL/T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, ETL/data pipeline development, and AWS data pipeline services.

- Experience with Snowflake development and migration.

- Experience in code review, production releases, and incident support.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and work-tracking tools.
