## Description

ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified Daily Substitute Teacher at Clarksburg Classical Academy in Clarksburg, WV. The teacher will provide a superior education for all students, creating a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.

Responsibilities include:

- Preparing and delivering lesson plans, modifying them as needed during the school year

- Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students

- Maintaining accurate and complete records of students' progress and development

- Utilizing research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction

- Managing student behavior in the classroom

- Creating a positive classroom environment for students to learn in

- Implementing school-wide culture expectations and norms

- Communicating and meeting with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth

- Incorporating technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning

- Participating in planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as needed

- Collaborating and communicating effectively with colleagues

Preferred qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field

- Current West Virginia teaching license or certification

- Previous teaching, substitute teaching, or experience working with school-age students

- Comfortable working in a growth-focused, collaborative environment with coaching, feedback, and ongoing professional development

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

- Ability to effectively supervise and support students of various ages
