## Description

We are seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Atrium Health One Health Urgent Care Birkdale in Huntersville, North Carolina.

As an LPN, you will provide patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient clinic according to established scope of practice guidelines and standards of care.

**Responsibilities:**

- Prepare and room patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information

- Perform laboratory procedures using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions/infection control guidelines

- Assist physicians/providers with procedures and surgeries

- Administer medications under physician/provider orders

- Provide basic patient education on tasks, skills, treatment, and self-care

- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members

- Document and communicate accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions

- Perform advanced clinical tasks or skills with demonstrated competency and under clinical supervision

- Organize and prepare exam rooms, lab, and work areas

- Participate in patient-centered initiatives, care management, performance, and quality improvement activities

**Requirements:**

- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices

- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing

- Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills

- Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding, navigation within a Windows operating system, and use of electronic mail
