## Description

We are seeking a passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Thatcham Court Care Home, part of Bupa, a leading health insurer and provider. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering an excellent dining experience for our residents.

**Job Summary:** You will assist the chefs in preparing and plating meals, maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. You will also participate in catering for special events and contribute to the overall smooth operation of the kitchen.

**Responsibilities:**

- Act as the link between the main kitchen and our residents

- Assist chefs with meal preparation, plating, and food trolley setup

- Monitor stock rotation and adhere to company policies, COSHH, and HACCP guidelines

- Help with catering for special events

**Requirements:**

- Previous experience working in a kitchen

- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

- Passion for food and delivering excellent service

- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and residents
