## Description

Electronic Arts is seeking an experienced Advanced Online Software Engineer to join the EA SPORTS FC team in Vancouver, Canada.

As an Advanced Online Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building networked game experiences for EA Sports titles, focusing on EA SPORTS FC. You will work closely with the Development Director and Technical Lead to estimate, build, and improve projects, delivering excellent game experiences through efficient and effective code.

Responsibilities:

- Implement server features, components, and services using EA's central technologies.

- Develop and maintain client code to support features and enhance multiplayer experiences.

- Optimize client and server online systems for better latency, reliability, scalability, performance, and memory.

- Design and iterate on architecture and infrastructure improvements for live systems and workflows.

- Collaborate with partner teams to set up and maintain online infrastructure and services for the title.

- Own experiences through the full stack, from UI in the game client to backend services and databases.

Qualifications:

- 6+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in C++.

- Experience with multi-threaded/concurrent architectures and networked applications.

- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQL, Redis) and networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP).

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
