## Description

We are seeking an Information Technology Assistant to provide technical support for ICT issues, manage IT inventory, and maintain network connectivity in Herat, Afghanistan.

**Job Description:** The Information Technology Assistant will work under the supervision of the Senior Information Technology Associate and in coordination with the ICT Division Central Team. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing technical support for ICT issues in an efficient and timely manner

- Supporting a complex network environment based on Cisco, Meraki, and Microsoft infrastructure

- Providing end-user support and problem-solving in a hybrid cloud environment

- Managing and maintaining IT inventory for the office

- Applying security protocols and standards to maintain network equipment

- Assisting in managing and maintaining network connectivity of sub-offices

- Administering account lifecycle using One Identity application

- Adhering to IOM Global ICT standards, procedures, and guidelines

- Providing training to users on corporate and standard applications

- Assisting in drafting reports, documentation, and SOPs when necessary

**Qualifications:**

- University degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or a related field with a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience, or a high school diploma with four years of relevant professional experience

- Professional certifications in Microsoft and Cisco would be a distinct advantage

- Experience in IT infrastructure solutions, implementation, and support of WAN/LAN technologies, and on-premises and/or cloud-based servers, resources, and applications

- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewall, router, switch, VPN, network security, and other telecommunications technologies

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications and collaboration tools

- Fluency in English required; working knowledge of Pashto or Dari is required
