## Description

You'll join Splunk Cloud's Sizing, Architecture & Governance (SAG) team, which decides how customer workloads map to infrastructure. Your role involves shaping sizing architecture, including frameworks, rule-sets, and tooling that determine how customer workloads map to infrastructure. Your goal is to ensure sizing problems don't reach customers. You may occasionally support high-visibility escalations, but your main impact is on upstream solutions architecture.

Responsibilities:

- Expertise in Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) and Splunk platform architecture, including indexing, search, and distributed deployments

- Production-level proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python preferred) to build and debug diagnostic tooling

- Working knowledge of networking, OS internals, and storage/data pipelines to root-cause issues across infrastructure layers

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain root cause and remediation to engineers and customers

- Ability to join an on-call rotation covering customer escalations outside business hours

- Bachelor's degree + 5 years or Master's/PhD + 2 years of related experience
