## Description

We are seeking a senior mining engineer to take on a leading technical role in the development of WSP's Mining Engineering business and be part of our global mining network.

You will lead and develop our technical offering in Mining Engineering, support our projects in complex technical matters, and contribute to the development of our mining engineers. You will also be an important person in customer dialogues, larger bids, and strategic projects.

The role has a clear international dimension. You will work closely with our mining colleagues in the UK and other parts of the global WSP and be an active part of our global mining network. You will act as the main representative from Sweden for your technical area and be expected to participate in international project collaborations on mines around the world.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and develop our technical offering in Mining Engineering

- Support projects in complex technical matters

- Contribute to the development of our mining engineers

- Participate in customer dialogues, larger bids, and strategic projects

- Collaborate internationally with our global mining network

Requirements:

- University or college education in rock engineering, civil engineering, mining engineering, or equivalent

- At least 10 years of experience working as a mining engineer, mining planning, or related technical fields

- Communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in project management or other leadership roles

- Knowledge and experience of Deswik and Microstation

- Previous experience in consulting

Projects you will participate in may involve:

- PFS, FS, DFS

- Technical Due Diligence

- Technical reports according to NI 43-101, S-K 1300, and JORC

- Mine design, mine planning, and cost calculations

- Technical support for mining operations

- Rock mechanics investigations and data collection

- Numerical rock mechanics modeling

- Geophysical investigations

- Slope stability analyzes
