## Description

This is a high-profile strategic role within Service Delivery, reporting to the Head of Service Delivery (Operational Excellence).

You will lead the coordination and communication of business-critical priorities, including the Service Delivery business plan.

You will shape and strengthen communication across the directorate, represent Service Delivery in organisation-wide initiatives and provide constructive challenge and advice to senior stakeholders.

We are looking for a proactive and influential leader who can operate at pace, navigate complexity, prioritise effectively and build strong relationships to deliver joined-up outcomes.

**Main duties**

- Lead the Service Delivery Communication & Coordination team, creating a clear and consistent approach to communications across Service Delivery.

- Coordinate priorities across 130+ senior leaders, supporting effective communication of performance, business plan activity and key messages to over 5,000 colleagues.

- Build strong relationships and strategic partnerships across Service Delivery and the wider organisation to improve collaboration, transparency and information sharing.

- Identify communication barriers, emerging risks and issues, providing evidence-based recommendations and enabling timely decisions.

- Drive continuous improvement, using feedback and insight to strengthen communication approaches, alignment and efficiency.

- Plan ahead and horizon scan to ensure communications remain timely, joined-up and aligned with organisational priorities.

- Lead through a coaching approach, empowering the team and supporting high performance and operational excellence.

**Person specification**

You will be assessed on the following essential criteria:

- Experience of supporting high level business objectives and activities to a wide-ranging operational audience considering differing levels of knowledge and broad demographics.

- Operational tactical communication across a complex organisation with an audience of varied experience and knowledge. Including the evaluation of the impact of that communication.

- Experience of working across a multi-site operational delivery environment and related senior and other stakeholder management.

- Ability to problem solve with more senior stakeholders to build transparency and instil confidence.

- Experience of providing robust challenge and advice to senior leaders.

- Diplomatic in all forms of communication and able to build relationships with key stakeholders and peers, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels.

- The ability to be proactive in seeing, scanning and scoping the capability needs of the team now and for future work.

- The ability to plan, organise and work well under pressure – managing conflicting and multiple demands effectively.

- The ability to delegate and clearly set goals and objectives for the team.

- People leadership skills and the confidence to lead a wider team beyond your immediate line management.

**Benefits**

Alongside your salary of £64,059, HM Land Registry contributes £18,557 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.

**Things you need to know**

- Due to the nature of the role regular travel to other HM Land Registry offices will be required, including some overnight stays.
