## Description

As a Principal Associate on the Global Payments Network (GPN) Risk & Advisory team, you will serve as a trusted risk advisor for Capital One's GPN Tech, within our Tech and Product Risk organization.

In this high-impact role, you will help manage the inherent risks of our expanding technology footprint.

You will collaborate closely with GPN Tech and broader risk partners to establish robust risk governance, implement best practices, and deliver well-managed outcomes that directly inform and empower the decisions of our GPN Tech Accountable Executive.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Risk Management and Governance:

- Governing and supporting risk objects throughout their lifecycle.

- Driving risk identification and mitigation across GPN Tech teams.

- Leading discussions to identify, assess, manage, and report critical risk-related issues.

- Regularly reviewing and challenging GPN Tech risk objects.

- Stakeholder Partnership and Support:

- Serving as an approachable partner to develop adaptable solutions.

- Collaborating with Risk Guides to streamline processes.

- Providing tailored risk advice and guidance to GPN Tech stakeholders.

- Ensuring clear communication of key messages and progress.

- Expertise:

- Maintaining up-to-date technical expertise across relevant risk domains.

- Deep expertise in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) within technology environments.

- Proven experience managing risk in large-scale organizations.

- Strong organizational skills and executive presence.

- Exposure to operational GPN Tech management and governance.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in data visualization, analysis, and reporting.

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience

- At least 3 years working with Technology in the Financial Services industry

- At least 2 years of experience in Technology Risk Management, Financial Services, or Payment Network Processing

- At least 2 years of experience in project management, risk program oversight, or process management

- At least 2 years of experience collaborating with and supporting key internal stakeholders

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- At least 3 years of experience conducting risk assessments and providing risk advisory services for large-scale card or debit payment networks

- At least 1 year of experience managing risk, governance, and controls for technology platforms, digital products, or solutions

- Strong knowledge of key controls and risk management frameworks for payment networks

- Relevant industry certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or CISM

**Salary Information:**

- McLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900

- New York, NY: $131,800 - $150,500

- Richmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400
