## Description

WKYC-TV Cleveland in NBC is seeking a dynamic and engaging Meteorologist to join their team.

The successful candidate will prepare and deliver accurate weather reports on-air and online in a conversational manner, gathering and analysing information to alert audiences about weather conditions in their community.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing accurate and compelling weather forecasts across multiple platforms

- Preparing and delivering severe weather updates, interrupting regular programming as necessary

- Producing clean, creative, and informative graphics to tell the weather story

- Filling in on other shifts when necessary

- Writing and reporting from the field or inside the newsroom

- Updating the website and interacting with viewers on social media platforms daily

- Performing special projects and other duties as assigned

- Making public appearances

Requirements:

- BA/BS degree in Meteorology, Geoscience, or Atmospheric Science

- 3-5 years of on-air meteorology experience

- Proficiency in posting content to various websites and social media platforms; computer literacy required, including weather and newsroom computer systems

- Current driver's license and ability to operate a news gathering vehicle
