## Description

The Corporate Finance Advisory (CFA) group at J.P. Morgan is a global multidisciplinary team that focuses on differentiating J.P. Morgan's investment banking services. It comprises experts in corporate finance, M&A, financing solutions, tax, accounting, structured products, and derivatives.

As a J.P. Morgan Investment Banking Analyst/Associate, you will produce quantitative and qualitative analysis to make broader financing and capital structure recommendations. You will assess financial implications of a wide range of transactions and associated capital structures, participate in complex deal structuring for both M&A and capital raising transactions, conduct industry and product research, perform financial analysis using industry-standard and proprietary models, build financial models to address problems in relation to capital structure, credit ratings, and financing solutions, learn and interact with J.P. Morgan's clients, products, services, and business practices, prepare presentation materials and participate in deal pitches, and execute client transactions from inception to closing.

The required qualifications, skills, and capabilities for this role include:

- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline (graduate degree in a similar field preferred)

- Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills

- Intellectual curiosity with the ability to think creatively and “outside the box” in Corporate Finance Advisory

- Self-directed, adaptable, and able to manage projects independently while taking on a high level of responsibility

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a productive member of a team

- Native or business/professional-level Japanese language proficiency strongly preferred

- Prior experience in investment banking, capital markets, or sales & trading is a plus
