## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Shop Tech to join our team at the Millcreek Backcountry Outlet Store. The Lead Shop Tech will oversee all shop-related activities, including repairs, maintenance, and assembly.

Responsibilities:

- Partner with management to identify shop priorities and meet store goals

- Oversee and manage the repair and maintenance program of bike and ski/snowboard gear

- Perform bike and ski/snowboard repairs and maintenance as needed

- Build, assemble, and tune new bikes

- Mount new skis and snowboards

- Repair and tune customer's bikes, skis, and snowboards

- Provide expert advice to customers on gear-related matters

- Train and mentor shop techs

- Manage inventory and ensure necessary parts and tools are available

- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments

- Work with the store team to develop and implement marketing strategies

- Assist on the sales floor as needed

- Assist the Store Manager in opening and closing the store as needed

- Ensure the store is properly secured and alarm systems are functioning correctly

- Manage cash and credit card transactions, and perform daily cash reconciliation

- Other duties as assigned by the management team

Requirements:

- At least 3 years of experience as a bike and ski/snowboard tech or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of bike and ski/snowboard mechanics and repair

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and manage a team

- Passion for outdoor activities and a commitment to environmental stewardship

- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to communicate verbally and work cooperatively with associates and customers

- Ability to remain standing for up to 5 hours at a time

- Ability to move about the store coaching and directing associates; selling to customers and retrieving merchandise from stockroom or sales floor

- Ability to grab, reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch to retrieve and replenish merchandise from stockroom or sales floor

- Ability to lift and/or move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.

- Ability to ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and/or move merchandise

- Ability to operate a computer, POS system, keyboards, merchandise scanners, and mouse to accomplish work

- Must have a flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays

- Regular and predictable attendance
