## Description

Zscaler is looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer to join its ZIA Cloud team. This hybrid role, based in Bangalore, India, reports to the Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering.

Responsibilities:

- Drive modernization of core platforms from design to deployment, transforming complex systems into adaptable cloud architectures.

- Design and implement resilient data pathways and intelligent routing solutions for high availability.

- Define and execute technical roadmaps for core defense systems, building frameworks for next-generation cloud security postures.

- Collaborate cross-functionally to tackle challenges and optimize deployments in public cloud environments.

- Foster a culture of engineering excellence and mentor engineers through hands-on prototyping and technical leadership.

Requirements:

- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience with AI-driven solutions.

- Mastery of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, VPN technologies, and load balancing.

- 6+ years of hands-on expertise in C/C++ programming for systems engineering.

- Extensive experience with Unix/Linux environments.

- Strong experience in core networking or cloud security infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience integrating AI/ML frameworks or intelligent telemetry models.

- Proficiency with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or GCP Deployment Manager.

- Deep knowledge of BSD/Linux operating systems and kernel bypass techniques.
