## Description

Provo City is seeking a part-time Airport Operations Specialist to support airside operations, maintain the Airport Operating Certificate, and coordinate airport security. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with TSA regulations, execute airport operating certification requirements, and identify security risks.

Responsibilities:

- Inspect and evaluate airport facilities, access controls, and equipment for TSA compliance

- Execute airport operating certification requirements and plans

- Identify, assess, and determine security risks

- Ensure all airport electrical systems and equipment are fully operational 24/7

- Handle, inspect, maintain, and schedule tool maintenance, repairs, usage, and inventory

- Receive and process applications and requests for services

- Train security employees

- Communicate with Air Traffic Control Tower, passengers, City employees, airline personnel, contractors, and the public

- Act as lead Airport Security Coordinator for commercial airline flights

- Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

- Three years of progressively responsible maintenance and heavy equipment experience

- Department of Homeland Security background check required

- Airport Security Coordinator training and Airport Inspector and Airport Wildlife Hazard Management on-the-job training completion required within one month of hire

- Must obtain and hold an Airport Blue SIDA Badge during employment

- Airport experience preferred
