## Description

Howden Ireland is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our team in Dublin Ringsend. As a trusted advisor to business leaders, you will support the delivery of commercial objectives through insight, analysis, challenge, and strategic partnership.

The role involves driving business performance, identifying growth opportunities, improving operational effectiveness, and ensuring decisions are supported by robust commercial and financial analysis. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across broking, claims, operations, finance, and support functions to influence decision-making and help deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

Key responsibilities include:

- Building strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders

- Providing proactive commercial insight and challenge to support strategic decision-making

- Supporting the development and execution of business plans and growth strategies

- Translating strategic objectives into measurable operational actions and performance outcomes

- Monitoring and analysing key business metrics

- Developing management information and reporting to support leadership decision-making

- Supporting delivery of annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans

- Assessing profitability by business line

- Evaluating investment opportunities, business cases, and strategic initiatives

- Supporting revenue optimisation and operational efficiency initiatives

- Partnering with broking leadership teams to understand business priorities and challenges

- Facilitating collaboration across finance, operations, compliance, HR, and commercial teams

- Presenting findings and recommendations to senior management

Requirements:

- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA or equivalent)

- Minimum 5 years' experience in a business partnering, commercial finance, strategy, or operational performance role

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

- Proven experience influencing senior stakeholders

- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills

- Strong communication and presentation skills

- Ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insights

- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

- Experience within insurance, financial services, or professional services

- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools

- Understanding of insurance broking operations and regulatory environment

- Project management or change management experience

- Commercially minded and results-focused

- Confident in providing constructive challenge
