## Description

We are seeking a Commis de Salle to join our team at Soho House Paris.

As a Commis de Salle, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining area, facilitating communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Responsibilities:

- Serve food and drink orders, liaising between the dining area and kitchen

- Act as a relay between front-of-house and back-office teams, including kitchen and dishwashing

- Ensure accurate communication of orders to chefs, taking care with priorities and special requests, such as dietary allergies

- Assist senior staff with table setting, ensuring necessary equipment is available

- Familiarise yourself with menus and dish compositions

- Ensure food and drinks are served in accordance with health and safety standards

- Interact with guests, take additional orders, and serve beverages during meals

- Clear tables and reset them for new guests

- Respond to guest queries about ingredients and menu items

- Escalate guest feedback and special requests to management

- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant at all times

Profile:

- Understand hygiene and food safety regulations

- Show an interest in the hospitality industry; previous experience in a bar or restaurant is desirable but not essential

- Be physically fit to carry trays

- Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability

- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Present yourself in line with our standards

- Display strong interpersonal skills

- A hospitality-related qualification is a plus
