## Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our Recycling Centre team in Pontefract. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in handling and transporting material waste, operating machinery, and communicating with dump truck drivers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Handle and transport material waste, mainly cardboard and polythene

- Operate and maintain bailing machines

- Communicate effectively with dump truck drivers during reversing operations

- Sort recycling waste into different types

- Lift pallets and use machinery for heavy items

**Requirements:**

- Comfortable working in a cold/outside environment

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to adhere to strict health and safety regulations

- Capacity to work quickly and think decisively

- Commitment to working efficiently and meeting targets

- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment

- Desire to learn new skills and apply them where required

- Maintain a clean and organised workspace

**Working Conditions:**

- Shifts: Wednesday to Saturday or Thursday to Saturday, 18:00-06:00
