## Description

We are seeking a Clinical Optometrist to join our team at CHEC, a leading provider of ophthalmology and gastroenterology care in the UK.

As a Clinical Optometrist, you will be responsible for assessing and counselling patients for cataract surgery, including discussing expected outcomes and ensuring patients understand the risks and benefits of surgery.

The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months post-registration experience, hold current GOC registration, and be motivated to develop their skills in the clinical side of optometry.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assessing and counselling patients for cataract surgery

- Discussing expected outcomes and ensuring patients understand risks and benefits

- Providing reassurance throughout the patient journey

- Ensuring post-operative management is undertaken with the support of medical staff

- Undertaking YAG laser with training
