## Description

At Adyen, you'll have the opportunity to work on a platform that processes tens of millions of payments per day, providing payment solutions to leading companies like Meta, Uber, IFood, 99app, Magalu, and Spotify.

As a Java Developer, you'll build the global payments engine of the future, ensuring Adyen customers remain at the forefront of innovation.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Taking ownership of systems, features, or frameworks, ranging from medium complexity to large-scale initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with project goals.

- Collaborating effectively with your team and across teams, helping to unblock challenges and mentoring less experienced engineers.

- Designing and implementing elegant, scalable solutions to complex problems, balancing simplicity with performance.

- Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, including addressing technical debt.

- Monitoring and troubleshooting your systems in production, ensuring consistent behavior and addressing issues promptly.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

- At least 3 years of experience with Java development.

- Fluency in English and Portuguese.

- Strong expertise in Java and related technologies, with a solid grasp of design patterns, testing, and debugging.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
