As an Afro Hair Specialist in our Hairlab department, you'll be part of a team that celebrates diversity and inclusivity.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Hold a minimum SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing or equivalent experience

- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience with running a column, or be able to demonstrate why you should be considered

- Possess an established local client base (beneficial but not essential)

- Present up-to-date skills and techniques in Afro hairdressing, including protective styling, blow-outs, and silk pressing

- Understand how to care for and maintain Locs

- Be excited to enhance natural Afro hair textures with Lush specialist products

- Provide exceptional customer service, including careful communication and consultations

- Maintain an organised and punctual approach to salon life

- Be professional, client-focused, and open-minded to receiving further training

**Skills, Knowledge & Expertise**

- Learn and provide Lush HairLab services, including consultation, product choices, hair washing, cutting, and styling

- Collaborate with clients to carve out their true hair identity

- Educate clients on how to create styles and effects at home

- Contribute to and maintain a supportive working environment through effective communication

- Maintain standards of personal and workspace presentation, cleanliness, and hygiene

- Assist with retail sales and consultations on the shop floor

- Support shops and attend events to promote new hair care product or service launches

- Use specialist skills and knowledge to support the Lush PR team
