## Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Best Start Inclusion Practitioner (BSIP) to join our Early Help and Children’s Services team. In this rewarding role, you will work with children and families through Family Hubs, early years settings, and partner agencies to promote inclusive practice.

This work will ensure that young children with additional needs receive the support they need to achieve the best possible start in life and will include delivering group and individual parenting intervention programmes. You will provide advice, guidance, signposting and practical support to families with children in the early years, helping to identify needs early, remove barriers to learning and development, and improve outcomes for children and families.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with young children and families, particularly within early years, education, health, or community settings. You will have a sound understanding of child development, inclusion, safeguarding, and the challenges faced by children with emerging or identified additional needs.

Key requirements:

- Experience of supporting children with additional or special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

- Knowledge of current early years frameworks, legislation, and best practice.

- Strong partnership working skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with associated teams, families, early years providers, and multi-agency professionals.

- Excellent communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills.

- The ability to work independently, prioritise workload effectively, and manage a varied caseload.

- A commitment to equality, inclusion, and improving outcomes for children and families.

Benefits of working for Enfield Council:

- An excellent pension through the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

- Up to 32 days annual leave depending on grade and length of service.

- A blend of remote and office-based working for most roles.

- Interest-free season ticket loan repayable over three or ten months.

- Career development and learning experiences from a range of training courses and learning methods.

- Employee Assistance Programme to provide advice and counselling services.

- Health and leisure discounts and tax-free bikes for work.

- 1 month's paid sabbatical for registered Social Workers working in Children's Social Care.
