## Description

WSP is seeking an On-call Entry Level Survey Technician for their Columbus, OH office to support their Oil and Gas Team.

The successful candidate will assist in collecting accurate field data for topographic design surveys, construction staking, and utility surveys.

Key responsibilities include:

- Acting as the on-site representative for WSP

- Participating in daily Job Hazard Analysis Meetings with the field crew

- Locating and probing existing company gas lines

- Conducting topographical surveys and gathering data on terrain features

- Taking field notes and recording data accurately

- Interfacing with landowners and referring any issues to senior surveyors or client representatives

- Performing brush clearing and other tasks as required

- Working collaboratively with other professionals and technicians

- Complying with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures

The ideal candidate will have:

- A high school diploma

- A valid state driver's license

- Previous survey experience is a plus but not required

- Good interpersonal, documentation, and computer skills

- A willingness to learn and retain basic principles of pipeline design surveys, construction staking, and as-built surveys

- The ability to record information accurately and work independently with minimal supervision

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- A commitment to upholding workplace safety and adhering to WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol policies

Travel is required, up to 90%, depending on project-specific requirements.
