## Description

We are seeking a Customer and Trading Manager - Convenience to join our team at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd, Clacton-on-Sea, Essex.

As a Customer and Trading Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store, often being the only manager on site with accountability for the full shop. You will work closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly every day.

Key responsibilities include:

- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store, often being the only manager on site with accountability for the full shop

- Working alongside a team to complete all tasks, ensuring customers are served efficiently and safely

- Managing performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries, and ensuring scheduling and pay are accurate

- Helping another store occasionally, where we have close-knit networks of convenience stores

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment

- Experience of leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment

- Operational leadership skills, with the ability to take responsibility for store operations in the absence of more senior managers

- A track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same

- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs
