## Description

As a Checkmk Administrator, you will be responsible for administering the Checkmk environment, ensuring stability and performance. Your tasks will include managing hosts, services, rules, folders, contact groups, and site configurations, deploying and maintaining monitoring templates based on customer or internal standards, and ensuring full monitoring coverage across servers, network devices, applications, and probes.

You will also configure and optimize alert thresholds and notification rules aligned with SLAs and business criticality, reduce false positives through rule tuning, tagging, and continuous optimization, design and maintain dashboards, providing clear visibility into system health, availability, and critical alerts, and monitor events daily, perform first-level investigation, and support basic troubleshooting.

Furthermore, you will manage incident tickets and coordinate Checkmk upgrades, patches, and post-validation, including optional Linux OS maintenance.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong hands-on experience administering Checkmk (Core or Enterprise) in production environments, configuration of hosts, services, rules, folders, contact groups, and sites, understanding of distributed monitoring (central site and remote probes), strong Linux administration skills (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu), experience operating and troubleshooting Linux servers hosting Checkmk, proficiency in log analysis, service management, and disk, memory, and process troubleshooting, solid understanding of monitoring concepts, including availability, performance, thresholds, and SLAs, experience handling alerts and monitoring events in operational environments, ability to distinguish real incidents from false positives, good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, ports, firewalls, proxies), experience with network-based checks (HTTP/S, SNMP, ICMP), and ability to troubleshoot connectivity-related monitoring issues.

In return, you will have the opportunity to work in an innovative and supportive environment, grow with your projects and objectives, and expand your business network. You will be part of a diverse team that values authenticity, creativity, and unconventional thinking patterns, and recognizes the importance of healthy, tight-knit communities and sustainable environmental changes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong team spirit, be curious, creative, and willing to learn, and have a passion for technology and innovation. They will be able to communicate effectively, work independently, and as part of a team, and have excellent problem-solving skills.
