## Description

The EMC/GEM professional provides continuous monitoring and operational support for mission-critical systems and infrastructure. This role coordinates with internal watch teams, customers, and technical support personnel to maintain situational awareness, respond to events, and support network security activities.

Responsibilities:

- Provide 24/7 mission and infrastructure monitoring, notification, administrative support, event logging, ticket management, and operational reporting for supported systems.

- Monitor system and network events, identify potential service impacts, and initiate appropriate escalation and response procedures.

- Coordinate with ISP and GW GES watch personnel to maintain situational awareness and facilitate required support actions.

- Communicate with customers, technical teams, and support personnel to provide timely notification of events, incidents, outages, and response activities.

- Create, update, track, and close incident and service tickets in accordance with established procedures.

- Maintain accurate operational logs, shift records, event timelines, and status reports.

- Perform router and switch updates in support of authorized security actions.

- Support shift turnover activities by communicating ongoing incidents, system status, and pending actions.

- Follow established operational, security, incident-management, and escalation procedures.

- Perform other related duties and projects as required to meet business and mission needs.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of related experience

- US citizenship required

- Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly

- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certified

- Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
