This role is part of a team pushing the envelope of global real-time communication over the Internet. We are using the power of Cloudflare’s network to build and operate systems and services for real-time video, voice, and data across the world, building on WebRTC, MoQ, and whatever new technologies emerge.

Responsibilities:

- Working with Product Management and customers to understand requirements.

- Designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.

- Instrumenting global real-time services, creating dashboards, and analyzing data.

- Monitoring and tuning system performance.

- Researching and implementing Internet standards.

- Effectively using all tools at your disposal, including AI.

Requirements:

- Solid computer science and software engineering fundamentals.

- Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.

- Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to collaborate closely with others.

- Knowledge of a modern systems programming language such as Rust or Go.

Bonus Points:

- Experience working with real-time protocols such as WebRTC or MoQ.

- Experience working with streaming media.

- Relevant personal projects.

Compensation:

- For NYC-based hires, the estimated annual salary is $150,000-$187,000.

This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
