## Description

SpaceXAI's mission is to create AI systems that can accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge.

The carpentry role acts as a key support system for all phases and disciplines of SpaceXAI data center construction. As a Construction Carpenter, you will layout, cut, assemble, and turn over temporary and permanent structures that keep the Memphis/Southaven supercomputer campus moving.

## Responsibilities:

- Build, set, and strip concrete formwork, bulkheads, blockouts, embeds, and related forming for foundations, pads, walls, piers, and equipment bases.

- Construct work platforms, stairs, ladders, railings, toe boards, and access structures.

- Frame, hang, and finish wood and light-gauge structures.

- Layout from control, measure, cut, and assemble lumber, plywood, engineered wood, and related materials.

- Build and maintain temporary facilities, weather protection, enclosures, and safety structures.

- Read and interpret construction drawings, details, elevations, and work orders.

- Follow fall protection, lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, hot-work, and permit requirements.

- Operate hand and power tools.

- Coordinate with civil, concrete, plumbing, electrical, and other trades.

- Support punch-list closeout and turnover.

- Document work performed and as-built markups.

- Operate company vehicles and specialized equipment.

## Basic Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.

- 3+ years of commercial, industrial, or heavy-civil carpentry experience.

- Ability to read construction drawings.

- Proficiency with construction hand and power tools.

- Working knowledge of construction safety, fall protection, and PPE requirements.

- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights and in confined spaces.

## Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Journey-level carpenter experience.

- Industrial, manufacturing, or data center construction experience.

- Experience on large-scale industrial or mission-critical projects.

- OSHA 30 or equivalent construction safety training.

- Knowledge of print reading for architectural, structural, and civil drawings.

## Additional Requirements:

- Schedule varies depending on site operational needs.

- Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working on ladders/lifts at elevated heights.
