The selected candidate will design, implement, and maintain test frameworks and procedures in alignment with systems assurance, safety, and performance standards.

Responsibilities:

- Integrate, configure, and validate SkyLine-X KN-2 capabilities within both physical and virtual integration laboratories.

- Execute system integration, verification, and validation activities to ensure the system is properly configured and operating within the National Airspace System.

- Support formal customer demonstrations, verification events, and customer acceptance testing with KN-2 stakeholders.

- Collaborate with software, systems engineering, networking, and infrastructure teams to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system-level issues.

- Analyze integration and test results, identify root causes, and provide detailed technical documentation supporting issue resolution.

- Support deployment and integration activities at customer operational facilities, including Air Traffic Control Towers (ATCTs).

- Execute system interface testing and validate communications across internal and external interfaces.

- Coordinate integration activities with customer personnel and cross-functional Leidos engineering teams.

- Develop automated tools, scripts, and AI-assisted solutions that improve testing efficiency, reduce manual effort, and streamline repetitive tasks.

- Support remote deployment activities by coordinating with infrastructure, networking, and installation teams.

- Learn and maintain a deep understanding of SkyLine-X architecture, system functionality, interfaces, and operational workflows.

- Partner with Systems Engineering to develop integration and test strategies for new capabilities and system enhancements.

- Integrate services with databases, messaging systems, and external APIs.

- Troubleshoot networking issues, IP configurations, and interface connectivity.

- Demonstrate system capabilities during formal "run-for-record" events supporting customer acceptance and release readiness.

- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior integration engineers while helping ensure program milestones are successfully achieved.

- Serve as a technical lead for systems and software integration in support of Development Test (DT) and Formal Test execution on the SkyLine-X KN-2 program.

- Integrate complex systems and software with minimal oversight, and debug system-level issues while providing detailed supporting data on identified issues.

- Develop and maintain test approach and procedures derived from system-level requirements (A-Level, SSS), including system-level and component-level test procedures, test cases, and data sets.

- Conduct root cause analysis and defect resolution in coordination with software and systems engineering teams.

- Execute integration testing of distributed, safety-critical systems using containerized or virtualized environments (e.g., Docker, Podman), and manage VMs and dev containers.

- Develop and maintain test artifacts and documentation, including the Verification Requirements Test Matrix (VRTM), traceability matrices, and test reports.

- Interface with SkyLine-X software, systems engineering, and integration/logistics teams in support of installation and integration efforts.

- Clearly communicate and generate briefings to report status to both internal and customer stakeholders, and support test readiness reviews and system qualification events.

- Actively participate in daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Release Planning, and other Agile team activities.

- Work overtime, off hours, or weekends if necessary to meet deadlines, and be able to support travel.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years with a related Master's degree.

- Experience integrating and testing large-scale, distributed software systems.

- Strong Linux/UNIX administration and troubleshooting experience.

- Experience with Python, Bash, or Shell scripting for automation and data analysis.

- Experience troubleshooting network configurations, connectivity, and distributed system interfaces.

- Experience developing automation solutions that improve engineering efficiency.

- Demonstrated experience in testing, test framework development, and system-level verification of complex or safety-critical systems.

- Systems Engineering experience, including proven experience working on complex projects gathering user requirements and converting them into system requirements.

- Proficiency with scripting languages.

- Experience with Linux or Unix-based environments, containerization (Docker, Podman), and CI/CD pipelines.

- Technical leadership experience in a role requiring significant coordination across multiple functional areas.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience working directly with customers to discuss requirements and objectives.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desired Skills:
