## Description

Priory Hospital Bristol has an opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager with Active Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council to join our team on our Female Acute.

The Deputy Ward Manager will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to supporting people's wellbeing. They will work as a Senior Nurse within the ward, ensuring a safe, therapeutic and inclusive environment for patients, families, visitors and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Apply relevant policies, statutory requirements and governance frameworks, ensuring risks are assessed and managed and safe staffing and skill mix are maintained.

- Provide clinical leadership and supervision, support the CPD, mandatory training, appraisal and performance management of staff, and act as a role model for learning and development.

- Support junior staff and student nurses, implement and evaluate therapeutic interventions, promote patient involvement and collaborative problem-solving, and contribute to effective multidisciplinary working and risk management.

- Act as Named Nurse and Associate Nurse, regularly lead shifts, undertake ward lead roles, provide clinical supervision, and deputise for the Ward Manager when required.
