## Description

We are seeking a Sr Manager, Revenue Accounting to join our Finance and Accounting team. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and leadership to the Sales Settlement and Gift Card Accounting team, ensuring processes and controls are effective for timely and accurate financial statements.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee core accounting and controllership activities for Target-branded and third-party gift card issuance, redemption, and breakage

- Provide accounting guidance and controllership support for new and evolving business initiatives

- Lead the team's end-to-end accounting close processes, ensuring strong balance sheet reconciliations and effective execution of SOX and non-SOX controls

- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate business operations and new initiatives into appropriate accounting and financial reporting outcomes

- Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardization, technology, and analytics

- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to build a collaborative, high-performing team

Requirements:

- B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance

- 6+ years of accounting, finance, or relevant business experience

- CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred

- Team leadership experience strongly preferred

- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition and expense accounting concepts

- Experience evaluating and operationalizing accounting guidance for complex or evolving business models

- Demonstrated experience operating within a strong internal control environment, including SOX compliance and controllership responsibilities

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility across multiple levels and functions

- Strong digital acumen, including experience with ERP systems, data analysis, and process automation; SAP experience preferred
