## Description

As a Senior Consultant in Responsible Consumption at WSP, you will deliver solutions for clients in the field of sustainable value chains, circular economy, and sustainable resources and waste management. Your typical working week will involve leading and supporting clients across various resource and waste management themes, working on projects such as policy and strategy development, infrastructure and services procurement, solutions review, business case development, market analysis, and circular economy modelling.

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of relevant experience in environmental science, circular economy, or sustainable resources and waste management. You should have a strong understanding of environmental legislation and policy, excellent communication and research skills, and exceptional time management skills.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading and providing support to clients on resource and waste management themes

- Working on projects related to policy and strategy development, infrastructure procurement, solutions review, business case development, market analysis, and circular economy modelling

- Managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously

- Analysing and interpreting data

- Developing business cases and cost models

Requirements:

- 8-10 years of relevant experience in environmental science, circular economy, or sustainable resources and waste management

- Understanding of environmental legislation and policy in the UK and/or internationally

- Relevant experience in a consultancy environment or other relevant industry

- Strong skills in data management, analysis, and interpretation

- Excellent communication and research skills

- Exceptional time management skills

- Methodical approach to problem-solving and high attention to detail

- Undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in a relevant subject (environmental science, science, mathematics, engineering, or sustainability-related subjects)

- Professional affiliation with or membership of an appropriate UK body (e.g., ISEP, CIWM) preferred
