## Description

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team at Airbnb. As a leader in Quality Engineering, you will help us build high-quality software efficiently by leveraging AI and tooling.

The Quality Engineering team enables Airbnb engineers to build highly testable systems by building and using tools leveraging AI. We own and continuously improve product test cases, automation coverage, test automation tools, environments, and frameworks.

As a Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack, you will help us meet this challenge by building and evolving comprehensive automation coverage for features and releases. You will work directly with the product engineering team to develop and maintain our test tools, write and test product code, participate in design reviews to architect testable systems, and guide designs and code to enhance modularity and testability.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leveraging AI and tooling to lead the implementation of a test automation strategy

- Building, maintaining, and effectively utilizing automated tests

- Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure robust test coverage for features and releases

- Contributing to improving existing automation frameworks

- Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines

- Troubleshooting and isolating issues

Requirements:

- 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering and testing

- Demonstrable knowledge in at least one language used for web development (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript) and comfort working in a backend language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Python, Go)

- Strong knowledge of test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks

- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress)

- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Buildkite, Spinnaker, Jenkins) and version control systems (Git)

- Excellent communication skills
