## Description

The Aircraft Technician, GSO Service Center works within an established FAR 145 Repair Station. This is a weekend shift position that works Friday-Sunday 7:00am-7:00pm.

Key responsibilities include performing scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repair of airframe and power plant systems and components. The technician must demonstrate proficiency with methods, techniques, practices, tools, and equipment used during aircraft maintenance.

The technician will also identify, protect, and preserve piece parts and articles undergoing maintenance in accordance with RSM/QCM and company policies and procedures. Additionally, they will assure parts, products, and materials that are installed meet regulatory requirements.

The Aircraft Technician, GSO Service Center must provide detailed turnovers when maintenance is left unfinished prior to shift changes.

The position requires a high school degree or equivalent, experience in FAR Part 145 Repair Station environment maintaining general and/or business/corporate aviation aircraft, and A&P Certification required in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65 from a FAR Part 147 School.

Key performance indicators include working knowledge of maintenance software, thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance requirements and inspection procedures and practices, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work under pressure, and ability to read work orders, blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and process specifications.

Working conditions include exposure to equipment operational noise, heat, cold, dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors. The technician may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions.
