## Description

We are seeking a motivated and inspiring History Teacher to join our dynamic team at Silverways School, part of Kedleston Group, and help shape the future of our children and young people. This is a fixed-term contract from January 2027 to July 2027, with a salary of GBP 39,196 - 58,120 per year.

**Job Responsibilities:**

- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge children and young people.

- Foster a positive learning environment that supports children and young people's educational and personal growth.

- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to ensure student success.

- Participate in school activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development opportunities.

**Requirements:**

- A teaching degree or equivalent and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

- A qualification in SEND education is desirable.

- Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC is ideal, but applications from those working in mainstream settings are welcome.

- Experience in teaching History.

- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods.
