## Description

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher (K-2) for the 2026-2027 school year at Brooke Charter Schools in Boston.

As a special education teacher, also referred to as a Student Support Coordinator at Brooke, you will build strong relationships with students to help them reach their full potential academically and personally.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating with colleagues to meet the needs of every student

- Ensuring accommodations are met and developing intervention plans

- Participating in IEP and 504 meetings, and professional development throughout the year

- Teaching daily support classes in math, science, life skills, and literacy

- Drafting, implementing, and maintaining IEPs and 504 plans

- Participating in child study team meetings

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in special education or a special education teaching license

- Working knowledge of federal and state special education laws

- General knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

- Commitment to fostering diversity and removing bias

Benefits:

- Competitive salary range: $74,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience

- Additional $3,300 stipend for teaching a high-need subject area
