## Description

Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Legal Compliance to assist with the design, execution, and oversight of its global export controls compliance frameworks.

The successful candidate will support and advance Mastercard's Export Controls Compliance Program by developing, enhancing, and maintaining policies, procedures, training, and communications that promote adherence to global export control requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

- Classifying Mastercard products, services, technologies, and applicable third-party vendor products under relevant export control frameworks

- Conducting risk assessments and internal reviews to identify business activities, products, services, and functions subject to export control requirements

- Partnering with impacted business units to develop, implement, and enhance operational processes and controls designed to ensure compliance with applicable export control laws and regulations

- Serving as a trusted advisor to employees and business stakeholders by providing guidance on export control requirements, regulatory interpretations, and compliance-related inquiries

- Monitoring and assessing developments in export control laws, regulations, and enforcement trends, and recommending program enhancements to address evolving regulatory expectations and risks

- Supporting the development and delivery of targeted export controls training and awareness initiatives for employees, business units, and key stakeholders across the organization

- Facilitating and conducting export controls training sessions, workshops, and related educational programs to strengthen organizational compliance awareness and understanding

- Collaborating with the Export Controls Compliance Director and Vice President to develop and execute annual compliance program goals, strategic initiatives, and project plans

- Designing and executing second-line monitoring and testing activities for business areas with export controls obligations, and communicating findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to strengthen compliance performance

- Supporting internal and external communications related to Mastercard's export controls compliance strategy, program requirements, regulatory developments, and governance initiatives

- Managing and overseeing export licensing, reporting, filings, declarations, and related regulatory submissions, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with applicable governmental requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

- In-depth knowledge working with EAR and ITAR regulations and the ability to interpret related regulations

- Demonstrated ability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments

- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and in-depth analytical skills

- Ability to multi-task, meet schedules and deadlines with thorough, accurate, and quality work products

- Ability to swiftly adapt to changing priorities

- Clear and concise communication ability

- Advanced expertise with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills required

Mastercard offers a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
