## Description

As a Bachelor's Degree Level Paraprofessional with The Menta Education Group, you will work closely with classroom instructors and staff to provide targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school.

The role involves working in small self-contained rooms across various grade levels (K-21) at 316 E. South St., Nokomis, IL 62075. You will be employed directly by the school with a schedule of 8:00 am - 3:30 pm CT, Monday through Friday, following a school calendar.

### Responsibilities

- Provide substitute teaching as needed and act as a paraprofessional.

- Manage classroom behaviors and maintain order and safety.

- Report behavioral concerns to appropriate staff and implement behavioral program policies.

- Supervise students in the school setting and assist in preventing and managing incidents of non-compliance.

- Provide interventions to help manage student behaviors and think quickly and tactfully in various situations.

### Qualifications

- A Bachelor's Degree is required, ideally in an Education-related field, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Social Work, Health & Human Services, Kinesiology, or a Sports or Physical Education/Recreation related field.

- A Substitute Teacher Certificate is required, and a Security or Juvenile Justice background is helpful.

- Candidates must be at least 23 years of age, able to work with high-risk special needs students, and have a good driving record.

### Compensation & Benefits

- Salary range: USD 28,976 - 43,640 per year.
