## Description

We're seeking a software engineer to join the Browser Synthetics Team at Cisco ThousandEyes, a Digital Experience Assurance platform. You'll build secure, scalable systems for running synthetic tests across a global fleet of ThousandEyes agents. Your work will help enterprise customers assess the performance and reliability of their digital experiences.

Responsibilities:

- Design and improve services that schedule and execute customer-authored transaction scripts

- Develop the ThousandEyes Recorder application used to create tests locally

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Requirements:

- Professional software development experience using Java or Go

- Experience designing and implementing APIs in distributed software architectures

- Experience with Git, automated testing, and continuous integration and delivery workflows

Preferred qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field

- Deep knowledge of Chromium orchestration through the Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP)

- Familiarity with container engines such as runc, crun, or podman

- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex or Claude

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
