## Description

We are seeking an Income Maximisation Officer on an initial 8-month fixed-term contract to support the team in assessing applications from residents for Council Tax Discretionary Relief, Housing Payments, and the Crisis Scheme.

The successful candidate will provide advice and guidance, undertake benefit entitlement checks, assist with applications and appeals, and work with partners to help residents maximise income, reduce financial hardship, and maintain independence.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assessing applications from residents for Council Tax Discretionary Relief, Housing Payments, and the Crisis Scheme

- Providing advice and guidance on benefit entitlement and financial assistance

- Undertaking benefit entitlement checks and assisting with applications and appeals

- Working with partners to help residents maximise income and reduce financial hardship

The role requires a solution-focused mindset and the ability to work in a hybrid environment.

As an Income Maximisation Officer, you will help deliver a high-quality and comprehensive welfare benefit, financial support, assessment, and debt advice service to residents.
