## Job Summary

The Senior Ocean Operations Associate is a critical role in making Flexport's mission to make global trade easy for everyone a reality. You will work directly with partners within your region, including account management and customs teams, subcontractors, carriers, terminals, and trucking providers.

## Responsibilities

### Tactical Responsibilities

- Manage the export handling of ocean freight shipments within a regional network, following local standard operating procedures (SOP) and digital service level agreements (SLA).

- Provide recommendations on expanding Flexport's footprint and contributing to growth in Taiwan.

- Represent Flexport's value proposition by recommending supply chain solutions for new clients and opportunities to the account management team.

- Ensure high-quality delivery by implementing processes and metrics to move shipments 'on-time' and resolve exceptions quickly.

- Serve as the primary focal point for shippers and clients, handling first-level internal and external escalations.

### Adaptive Responsibilities

- Collaborate with gateway and regional management to establish metrics and data for great performance.

- Monitor and improve operational performance to support growth.

- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to support key initiatives and experiment with best practices to drive growth.

- Work with Account Management to design and iterate on effective feedback loops to meet client needs.

- Strategically consult with global counterparts, product & engineering, and the operations excellence team on ocean supply chain operations and regional gateway ocean or network operations strategy.

- Optimize operational infrastructure and procedures, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity.

## Requirements

- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting (ocean freight knowledge is a plus).
