## Description

This role is responsible for ensuring robust manufacturing processes and facilitating the scaling of manufacturing processes and equipment. The Manufacturing Engineer will integrate new and advanced manufacturing equipment seamlessly into the shipyard's capabilities, support the transition from low-rate to high-volume production, and spearhead the adoption of new automated manufacturing assets and software enhancements.

Key responsibilities include operating or learning how to operate manufacturing equipment, training others on how to use manufacturing equipment, understanding manufacturing equipment maintenance requirements, and developing a maintenance plan in conjunction with the production engineering team.

The Manufacturing Engineer will also execute repair of manufacturing equipment, assist in work prioritization and triage during peak production periods to maintain workflow efficiency, and support the shipyard's transition from low-rate to high-volume production.

Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer will onboard new automated manufacturing assets, collaborate with software and production engineering to drive improvements in software products that support production processes, and create manufacturing processes in unstructured areas of the operational system.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced ship production environment.
