## Description

Electronic Arts is seeking an Anti-Cheat Operations Engineer to join their Security team. As an Anti-Cheat Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring the environment of Electronic Arts' games using their internal anti-cheat solution, investigating suspected cheating activity, and gathering threat intelligence to support anti-cheat and user-generated content protection pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Security Operations Center, knowledge of the cheating problem in the gaming industry, and a passion for learning new technologies. You will collaborate with other engineers to improve detection quality, plan and prioritize tasks, and communicate progress and blockers to the team.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor anti-cheat operations dashboards

- Investigate suspected cheating activity

- Gather threat intelligence to support anti-cheat and user-generated content protection pipelines

- Perform triage and investigations of enforcement appeals

- Collaborate with other engineers to improve detection quality

- Plan and prioritize tasks related to anti-cheat operations and investigations

- Communicate task progress and blockers to the team

- Write concise documentation for various anti-cheat operations topics

- Identify needs and improvements to current anti-cheat operations processes

- Develop technical skills in the anti-cheat space

Qualifications:

- 1+ year of experience as a SOC Tier 1 analyst working with SIEM technologies

- Knowledge of the cheating problem in the gaming industry

- Basic knowledge of operating system fundamentals

- Ability to engage and articulate complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences

- Identify knowledge gaps and seek resources to close them

- Safely handle potentially malicious software

- Quickly pick up new technical skills

- Excellent verbal and written English skills

Additional Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Security, or relevant industry experience

- Information Security certifications such as CEH, CISSP, GSEC, OSCP, OSCE, or Security+

- Experience building automation tools

- Experience with reverse engineering or anti-cheat/anti-malware development

Salary: $86,600 - $118,600 CAD (for Vancouver location)
