## Description

As a Medical Assistant Apprentice at Intermountain Health, you will learn the Medical Assistant trade while attending a Medical Assistant Program. You will work 36 hours a week, primarily from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with possible evening or weekend shifts in InstaCare clinics.

**Programme Details:**

- The programme starts on January 4, 2027, and lasts for 21 weeks.

- You will be paid a flat rate of $18.40 per hour during the programme.

- Upon completing the programme, you will be assisted in finding a full-time position as a Medical Assistant within Intermountain Health clinics, with a starting wage of $20.07 per hour.

- You are required to sign a 1-year agreement and commit to not leaving the programme or your position before the 1-year mark.

**Responsibilities:**

- Learn and perform various clinical and administrative tasks under supervision.

- Observe and participate in patient-oriented procedures.

- Develop skills in using electronic medical records.

- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

- Maintain a clean and organised workspace.

**Requirements:**

- Possess a High School Diploma or GED.

- Demonstrate aptitude for the Medical Assistant trade.

- Strong computer skills and ability to work with electronic charting programmes.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
